The objective of the workshop was to develop a diagnosis and proposal for the city of Mestre depending on the specific need of each of the neighbourhoods of the city, focusing specially on the adaptation and mitigation of climate change. The workshop is part of the Policy and Planning for Cities, Environment and Landscape Master (PPCEL).

The objective was for each city to develop a social / urban proposal and present it to the World Bank, to develop future agreements for its execution.

The objective of the workshop was to develop a short, medium and long term proposal for Plaza 5 de Mayo. After the Workshop, the short-term proposal that led to an intervention of tactical urban planning in the area was carried out in order to demonstrate that the site had potential. The short-term project "Panama Camina" was a success and it is planned to continue with this initiative .

Each year the United Nations Human Settlements Program (UN-Habitat) offers a prize to projects that help identify and promote examples of good housing practices worldwide. Within the same program, the call for foundations, organizations, universities and people involved in habitat development issues is opened to get to know the project personally and can create bonds that will later help develop alliances and projects together.
